Both Sides Now

What I miss about being single:

… freedom to do whatever I wanted
… spending my money on shopping without feeling guilty
… travelling wherever and whenever
… staying out till the wee hours of the morning
… flirting (wink!)
… wearing cute, sexy tops & high-heeled shoes without someone telling me to go & change! :o/
… getting plastered!
… hanging out with friends everyday

What I DON'T miss about being single:

… waiting for my “one” to come
… pointless spending for the sake of retail therapy
… being lonely even when I’m not alone
… wishing there was someone to watch the sunset with me (and the night sky and the sunrise and listening to the rain…)
… cold nights
… feeling that every sad love song was being sung for me
… people constantly asking “when are you going to get married?” (grrr!!!)
… taking care of only myself
… all the angst of being single

I enjoyed being single for 30 years and though I may miss it once in a while, I'm at my happiest right now (preggy woes notwithstanding, haha!). I wouldn't trade it for anything! :o)
