Until last month, I did almost nothing but grouse about the unpleasantness of being pregnant. I hated being gassy, nauseated, lazy, bitchy... you name it and I whined about it.
But as I moved into my fourth month, things started easing up (thank God!). My energy level began to pick up, I became nicer (hehehe!), the nausea finally abated... everything just got better. I guess what they say is true, that the second trimester is the honeymoon period of pregnancy. I've also started feeling the baby move and the two of us get to "talk" (me talk, baby listen, hahaha!) during our quiet moments. I'm really bonding with him now. :)
I still do have a few complaints, like the way the my stomach and my skin feels stretched taut (my bellybutton's popping out!) and how itchy it gets sometimes (OH NO... the stretch marks are coming!). How my underarms, butt & inner thighs have darkened... gross! Parts of my body have gotten bigger but my bladder feels like it has shrunk to the size of a pea. And Je keeps teasing me "Winnie the Pooh" because my tank tops are now riding over my belly, hmph!
Still, it's heaven compared to the first 12 weeks or so and I plan to savor every minute of it. Because I'm sure I'll have lots to gripe about in my third tri.
