Though I sometimes get myself into sticky situations and can be quite bullheaded, I'm blessed to have a family who is always right there for me, supporting my dreams and loving me unconditionally.
After experiencing a few heartbreaks and struggling to get back on my feet after each one, after finally surrendering my need to take control of how I thought my life should be and learn to live each day that came, God surprised me. He gave me what I gave up at the most perfect time. My sweetie.
In college, all my girlfriends knew they wanted to be mothers. I couldn't see myself as one at that time. I sometimes thought that maybe something was wrong with me. But that's the beauty of time, of growing up. I'm now ready to be a mom and in a few more months, I truly will be one.
Having a few wonderful people who really know me is uplifting. They're the family I've chosen for myself. Time and distance have not changed the bonds we share but have only served to make them stronger.
I am blessed because I have learned to leave mediocre expectations and comfortable assumptions behind. To want nothing more and nothing less than what God wants for me. To just have faith in Him.
