To-do List

Here are a few things I want to do as soon as I'm back on Philippine soil:

Eat crispy pata, Jamaican patties, green mangoes with bagoong, turon and Go Nuts donuts. I’ve been craving these for the past six months… I need to be satisfied!

Go shopping for some clothes. Since I became pregnant, I haven’t really done much shopping because the maternity clothes here in Riyadh are so expensive. The single pair of pants I bought had a price tag enough to induce me to go into premature labor.

Get a decent haircut. I had my long, permed hair chopped off about four months ago by someone who didn’t really know what she was doing… pinagtiyagaan ko na lang kasi walang ibang choice. I’ve kept it in a permanent ponytail since then.

Buy a new pair of contact lenses. I had to throw away the ones I had because they got contaminated by the cleaning solution I was using which were recently recalled. Contacts cost double the price here than back home so I decided to delay purchasing a new pair until I was back in the Philippines.

Meet up with high school friends for lunch or dinner. I’ll only be in Manila for three days so I’ll be cutting things pretty close. Hopefully, my friends won’t have any sudden changes in their schedules or else we’ll have to postpone things again till December.

Attend Mass. The last time I was in church was in November 30 of last year. Ang haba na ng sungay ko!
