100 on my 100th!

To commemorate my one-hundredth post, here are 100 random things about me.

1. I’m an optimist.
2. I’m very passionate about whatever I believe in.
3. I can be incredibly stubborn.
4. I hate talking to narrow-minded people.
5. I don’t like it when people give me advice that they can’t follow themselves.
6. It’s very easy to please me.
7. I can be too sensitive sometimes.
8. I’m the biggest crybaby ever.
9. I’m not as confident as I appear to be. Sometimes, I just pretend.
10. When I love someone, it’s unconditional.
11. I trust people very easily.
12. I’ve never cheated in any of my relationships.
13. Friends have told me I can come off as suplada at times.
14. I’m a romantic.
15. Whenever I need a confidence boost, I put on high heels.
16. I like wearing skirts but I’m most comfortable in jeans, a tank top or fit tee and sneakers or flip flops.
17. It drives me nuts when I hear people singing a song with the wrong lyrics. Aaahh!!!
18. I must have some lipstick or tinted lip balm on when I go out because I’m so pale.
19. L’eau d’Issey Miyake and Chanel No. 5 are my all-time favorite scents.
20. I have a shoe obsession which I’m trying to curb (with some success!).
21. For me, the moment just before dawn is one of the most exquisite moments in time.
22. When traveling by plane, I always have a pack of peanut M&M’s to munch on.
23. When I’m in a new place, I always check out the food first before the sights.
24. People who don’t say “please” or “thank you” irritate the crap out of me.
25. I always carry a book and my music player when traveling.
26. I never go on a trip without my pocket Bible (except when I went to KSA).
27. I’m not afraid of ghosts or being alone in the dark but spiders & other creepy, crawly creatures send me screaming.
28. I don’t like being too thin. Skin and bones is not sexy.
29. I had an imaginary friend named Mikki when I was a kid.
30. I always read while eating, especially if I’m having a meal alone.
31. I cannot swim well enough to save my life.
32. I love watching classic American films like Casablanca, My Fair Lady, Gigi, et al.
33. My forever crush is Harrison Ford.
34. I’m a Star Wars movie fanatic.
35. I enjoy watching Asian horror flicks late at night with all the lights off.
36. I like drinking Coke while eating green mangoes with bagoong.
37. I love eating pasta and pancit (but not at the same time!).
38. I prefer fruit smoothies over coffee or cola.
39. I taught myself how to read as a child.
40. In high school, my elective subjects were creative writing, journalism, invertebrate zoology, technical writing and geology.
41. Only three people have ever seen me totally wasted. :o)
42. Whenever I need to clear my head, I hop in the car and drive around aimlessly with music blasting from the stereo.
42. I’m extremely ticklish.
43. I still have the baby doll my mom gave me when I was 9 years old.
44. I can play the drums.
45. I did the reverse bungee in Singapore… scary!
46. I have a ying yan tattoo on my lower back (which I now regret having gotten, SIGH!).
47. I’m rarely, if ever, late for a date, appointment or work.
48. I’m a speed reader. I can finish a thousand-page novel in a day.
49. My cousins teased me pandak until my sudden growth spurt at 15. :o)
50. I tried to smoke once but my father caught me at it & made me finish a whole pack. I never smoked again.
51. Driving brings out the worst in me.
52. I’ve been to both a gay bar (thrice) and a girlie bar (once) with my crazy counterparts.
53. I love to hug and kiss my hubby every chance I get.
54. My MSD batchmates used to call me simpleng bastos… I always surprised them by telling the greenest jokes.
55. I have a really bad short-term memory.
56. My favorite holiday is Christmas and my favorite day is my birthday. :o)
57. I’m a friend-keeper. It takes a lot for me to lose touch or part ways with someone.
58. I love daisies… it’s such a happy bloom.
59. I used to be a pack rat but I finally got over it… yippee!
60. I was a tomboy when I was kid. I loved playing & running around with my brother and the neighborhood boys (still have the scars to prove it!).
61. I can be too opinionated sometimes.
62. I’m very transparent… I can never mask my emotions even when I try.
63. I’ve had dengue fever twice (two strains to go!).
64. I’m legally blind without my specs or contact lenses.
65. I enjoy do-it-yourself activities. It makes me feel more empowered as a woman.

68. At the end of each phone conversation with my parents, I always say “I love you”.
69. I was a Girl Scout all through elementary and high school.
70. I believe in letting go and letting God.

72. I'm allergic to seafood but it doesn't stop me from indulging when I want to.
73. I know I’ll be a strict parent but I‘ll try to be more flexible than my parents were with us.
74. I took dance lessons in Hawaiian/Tahitian/Polynesian and in Jazz when I was young.
75. I only had my first real boyfriend when I was already 22.
76. I’m a malambing friend but I put limits to my guy pals being “touchy” with me.
77. I’ve stayed friends with my exes but I no longer keep in touch with them.
78. When I’m really pissed off, I keep quiet because I want to avoid saying anything in anger.
79. I’d love to go on a long cruise with the hubby.
80. I’m a chocoholic… grabe.
81. Someday I’ll visit Europe.
82. I love to go on hikes.
83. If I need a good laugh, I watch Bugs Bunny or Tom & Jerry cartoons.
84. I’m a stickler for correct grammar and spelling.
85. In the past, I’ve dated friends but never barkadas. I also avoided entertaining any guy a friend had already gone out with or had a relationship with.
86. I hate watching local Philippine news... it's depressing.
87. I’m a pooch lover.
88. I hope to age gracefully, inside and out.
89. I enjoy doing charcoal drawings. I’d like to learn how to use watercolor and oils.
90. The most romantic thing my hubby ever told me was, “I regret ever having let you go before…”
91. I like celebrity gossip more than I’d like to admit. :o)
92. I’m a closet Kapamilya teleserye fan.
93. I don’t like eating fish if it hasn’t been de-boned because I always seem to get fish bones stuck in my throat.
94. I’d like to get into Pilates after I give birth.
95. My favorite Disney song is “A Dream Is A Wish Your Heart Makes”.
96. I'm a giver… whether it be time, talent, gifts, encouragement, affirmation, advice or just a listening ear.
97. I recite "30 days has September, April, June & November, All the rest have 31 except for February" in my head when figuring out calendar issues without a calendar.
98. I daydream a lot.
99. I wish I could bake as well as my mother does.
