We turned CRYSTAL

Last Friday, I attended my high school's Alumni Homecoming. And guess what? My class celebrated its 15th year. Wow… I'm still trying to wrap my head around that fact. I mean, we've all left our nests, created new lives for ourselves but in our hearts, we're still the teenagers who enjoyed terrorizing student teachers, played with water guns, marbles and chinese garters in the afternoons and giggled over our crushes. :o)

It was surprising to see our old teachers looking, well… old. They seemed so much larger than life 15 years ago and we were all quite in awe of them. At present, they merely look fat, old and exhausted. And us? Although we've changed and moved on, we still love to get together when we get the chance (which happens maybe once a year) and, for a few hours, we're back to being the kids whose biggest problems were surviving our last Physics quiz and whether our respective crushes would notice us *grin*.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to our year-end party and mini reunion on the 27th. Here's to a lot of gabbing, eating and drinking!

  1. Wow, that is amazing. I would love to attend a reunion too but most of my friends are scattered all around the world.

  2. We weren't that big a group, actually. :o) We're also pretty scattered but usually in December, most of our barkada comes home for the holidays so we get to celebrate. :o)
