Green mangoes with sweet & spicy ginisang bagoong is lurve.
A friend returned from his vacation in the Philippines four days ago and this is what J asked him to bring back as pasalubong and it couldn't have made me any happier. I've been munching on them since Monday and these were the last of them today.
And no, I'm not preggo... yet. ;)

it's a good thing you can bring green mangoes as pasalubong there. here in australia, it's a no-no.
ReplyDeletealthough we have green mangoes here during summer pero iba pa rin talaga ang mangga ng phils :)
Naku, I was very frustrated two weeks ago because two people gave me green mangoes for pasalubong but they were all soft and yellow on the inside already so I didn't eat them at all. This last friend was smart and picked the youngest green indian mangoes he could find and I asked J to get them from him the moment he arrived that's why they were still green and crisp as of eating time. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's too bad. Iba talaga ang mangga galing sa atin. Bawi na lang when you go home for your holiday. :)
ReplyDeleteHello there! I blog-hopped my way onto your site, and I just had to comment! :D THAT PICTURE IS CRAZY! Super naglalaway ako, and it's 1:30 am! I'm going to look for some tomorrow, hehe, hindi ako matatahimik nito. :D
ReplyDeleteHahaha, sorry this post made you crave for green mangoes at 1:30 in the morning! :) Hope you've been able to sate it by this time.
ReplyDeleteNakakainggit! Minsan may nagdadala rin dito ng pasalubong, pero medyo hinog na pagdating sa akin. Kakatakam yung pic!
