happiness is a pair of shoes

I've always been a fan of comfy, casual shoes so when I first saw a TOMS pair, I knew I had to have one. Aside from the happy feet factor, I also loved the idea of their One for One Movement where they match every pair of shoes that their customers buy with another new pair for a child in need. Great, right?

Since they don't ship to the Philippines and I couldn't find any here in Riyadh either, I thought I'd just try my luck in finding a pair when we're in Manila. Then I learned that my SIL, who's based in California right now, would be sending home a balikbayan box for Christmas. I'd already noticed from the TOMS Shoes website that you could buy the shoes as a gift for someone in the US and have it shipped to the recipient directly. I told the husbo that I desperately wanted a pair and he agreed to let me get not one but two pairs (he also got himself two, hehe), yippee! :D We charged them to his credit card and had the shoes sent to his sister so she can put them in the package she'll be shipping home.

I actually wanted a pair of their wedges and a red pair but both were out of stock the time I shopped. I ended up choosing these two instead. I'm not a big fan of pink but J wanted me to get one with a more feminine color and I decided I could live with the one above.

I can't wait to see and wear them!
