In keeping with my weight loss plan, I've started running regularly again. I kind of fell off the wagon for a while but I got my motivation back so it's back to huffing and puffing on the treadmill five times a week for 25-45 minutes depending on what day it is.
And because I need aural stimulation to help me get through an entire run, I turn to music to keep me going. I'm thankful that with so many people in to running these days, I found a lot of playlist suggestions online. Right now, I'm alternating between this
Couch to 5K running program podcast by
Robert Ullrey and a
Glee-inspired playlist I made. For this coming week, I'll be doing
Week 3 (heaven help me!) of the
Couch to 5K program on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday then intersperse it with a longer but more relaxed pace with the
Glee music on .
You can download the
Couch to 5K podcasts
HERE if you're interested. And here's my
Glee-ful Run playlist:
- Proud Mary by Creedence Clearwater Revival
- Shake Your Booty by KC and the Sunshine Band
- Bust A Move by Young MC
- Don't Stop Believing by Glee Cast
- Jump by Van Halen
- U Can't Touch This by MC Hammer
- Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It) by Beyonce
- My Life Would Suck Without You by Glee Cast
- Bad Romance by Glee Cast
- Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof Off the Sucker) by Parliament
- Safety Dance by Men at Work
- Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Glee Cast
I prefer the original recording for most of the songs and used it instead of the Glee versions.
It's time to bring my sexy back!
