My first and only taste so far of a Ladurée macaron was in Singapore. A colleague shared half a pistachio macaron with me after her daughter brought home a box from a trip to Paris. It was sooooo good! It just melted into my mouth and its sweetness didn't take over the cookie's flavor.

Then I learned today that Ladurée had finally opened shop here in Riyadh. Oohlala! :e

I'm hoping that after having my birthday dinner at the noodle house tomorrow or on Sunday, we can pass by the Ladurée store and take home a box of these heavenly macarons. ;)
